FLEET MECHANIC
Exemplar Coaches and Limousines is the leading airport transfer company in the Cairns -Port Douglas region, safely moving upwards of 170,000 passengers per year. Our agents are confident that our fleet is reliable, and above all safe for their clients’ transfers. As such, we pride ourselves on the maintenance and presentation of our vehicles.
We currently seek a qualified mechanic with diesel experience to maintain these set standards for our fleet, which comprises Toyota Coasters, Commuters, people movers and sedans. This role is an integral part of the Exemplar management team and is highly regarded within the organisation.
This mechanic’s position is open to negotiations on pay and conditions. It can be on full time wages, salaried or contracted. All options are on the table as is the attractive remuneration.
Our depot in Craiglie will be undergoing some major improvements shortly, which encompasses a brand new, well equipped mechanic’s workshop with modern accessories.

DIESEL FITTER
Are you a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Fitter looking for an exciting new opportunity? Join our dynamic team where you will work on a variety of equipment including highway vehicles, heavy earthmoving machinery, crushing and screening plant.
Location: Atherton
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a range of highway vehicles, heavy earthmoving equipment, crushers, and screens.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections to minimise downtime.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure safety and efficiency on all jobs.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
• Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Experience working with highway vehicles, heavy earthmoving equipment and crushers/screens.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to solve complex mechanical issues.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
