Daintree Tours provides you with a luxury experience exploring the ancient rainforest. Our mission if to showcase some of the highlights of this incredible natural wonder, with visits into the Daintree National Park, Mossman Gorge and a river cruise exploring the waterway rich in flora and fauna.
About the role:
We are seeking Tour Guides to join our Daintree Tour team due to our continued success and ongoing growth. We operate daily from Port Douglas, exploring the sites up to Cape Tribulation.
We are offering you the opportunity to work within a natural wonder, the Daintree Rainforest, in tropical paradise. As a Tour Guide you will share your strong knowledge of the rainforest systems and ecology and the history of the Daintree and surrounding areas.
About you :
You’re an experienced tour guide who is curious, bold, adventurous and delivers amazing guest experience, with safety at the heart of everything you do. You have fantastic verbal communication skills, great customer service and are a respectful team player. You are charismatic and can hold the attention of an audience enticing them to want to hear more. You enforce safe work processes and practices to maintain a safe and friendly work environment. You hold a deep respect for the environment and you are committed to sustainable and respectful tourism practices.
You will hold an unrestricted QLD drivers’ licence (C-class minimum, LR highly regarded) and a QLD Drivers’ Authority (or willing to get one). You will also have a current first aid certificate.
Weekend work required.

RECEPTIONIST / ADMINISTRATOR – FULL TIME
We currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a receptionist / administrator to join our growing business.
Our firm is the largest accounting practice in the Douglas Shire and has a rich history dating back over 90 years. We offer a supportive and collaborative team environment, opportunities for professional development and many other benefits.
This is a rare opportunity in Port Douglas as our staff turnover is very low.
As a Receptionist / Administrator, you will be responsible for:
• Greet clients and visitors with a professional and courteous demeanour
• Answer and direct phone calls, handle inquiries, and relay messages accurately
• Schedule and confirm appointments for clients and staff members
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
• Handle office supplies inventory and reorder as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the practice
• Assistance to Practice Manager and Managing Partner as required

To be successful in this role, Candidates should possess the following attributes:
• Australian resident with unrestricted work rights
• Administration office/practice experience working with some level of autonomy (advantageous but not a necessity)
• Excellent presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and discretion.
• Solid level of computer literacy in MS Office
• Strong teamwork skills, with experience working towards team goals and KPIs
