We don't change rosters or shorten shifts. We're a renowned business established in 1987, offering captivating 1-hour Daintree River Wildlife Cruises in one of the world's UNESCO-listed areas. We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Casual Coxswain to join our growing team and lead our engaging Daintree River Wildlife Cruises.What We Offer:• Flexible hours, typically from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm during peak months• Competitive above award hourly pay ($36 per hour) accompanied by relevant [MA000096] award entitlements, scheduled breaks, superannuation, work cover and uniforms!Main Responsibilities:• Skilfully operate and navigate vessels under 12 meters in length within sheltered waters, ensuring passenger safety and comfort• Engage and educate passengers about the diverse flora and fauna of the Daintree River, focusing on the captivating world of crocodiles• Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of vessels, including tasks such as leaf blowing, cleaning, and refueling• Perform other assigned duties as neededQualifications and Experience:• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a coxswain in a similar capacity• Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering outstanding experiences• Strong time management abilities and the capability to excel under pressure• Demonstrated safety awareness and effective risk management skills• In-depth knowledge of the local flora and fauna, particularly crocodilesRequired Qualifications:• At a minimum: Coxswain Grade 1NC certificate of competency, Coxswain Grade 2NC certificate of competency OR equivalent• Valid CPR certificate• First Aid certification• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificationInterested in Joining Us?
