Petition calls for speed-limit change at Junction Bridge

A Douglas Shire driving instructor has started a petition calling on the about 550m stretch of road near the Junction Bridge between Cooya and Mossman to be changed to a 60km/h zone.

Douglas Shire residents and visitors will remember and pay tribute to our ANZACS on Saturday, April 25, with Dawn Service at Mossman and Cow Bay and a march in Port Douglas.

Barron River bridge work

Nighttime maintenance work will start in May on the Barron River bridge.

Reef Raiders ready to launch 2026 season on ANZAC Day

The Port Douglas Reef Raiders will officially launch their 2026 campaign this Saturday, hosting the Northern Beaches Mudcrabs at the Port Douglas Sports Complex in a special ANZAC Day clash.
