Indigenous Marathon Project partners with Run Port Douglas
The excitement is building and with just over 16 weeks to go until the fourth edition of the Port Douglas Gran Fondo Festival, which will be held from September 12 to 14, a new partnership with the Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) has been announced.

Intermediate to Senior Taxation Accountant
Mossman, FNQ Full-Time
Northland Tax Chartered Accountants is seeking a Taxation Accountant to join our friendly and supportive team in Mossman. We specialize in business and personal tax planning, tax return preparation, auditing self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), and setting up effective business structures for asset protection. The principal of the firm is a dual qualified Chartered Accountant and Legal Practitioner (Barrister) and the focus of the firm on high-net-worth clients will provide the team member with exposure to a broad range of clients including some international exposure.
Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships • Prepare financial statements and accounting reports • Prepare income tax returns, BAS statements, and other financial documents • Liaise directly with the ATO on behalf of clients • Deliver accurate, up-to-date tax advice in line with current legislation
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field • Completion of the Income Tax Preparers course, or willingness to undertake it • At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience • In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes • Strong understanding of Australian tax law and statutory requirements • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills • A proactive attitude and commitment to staying current with tax legislation

Bonus point if you already have experience guiding in the Wet Tropics of Far North QLD!
We offer above-award wages, and we are flexible - we have plenty of hours available for the right candidate or we can work with your availability. Ideally you’ll have the flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and during peak tourism seasons.
You will need a current Queensland Driver Licence and Driver Authorisation, as well as First Aid and CPR certificates.
