The change to the Macrossan Street speed limit, which caused controversy when suddenly brought in late last year, is again under scrutiny, with a long-time Douglas Shire driving instructor saying the signs are incorrect and the new 30km/h and 40km/h limits are unenforceable in some areas.

Newsport is on the lookout for a talented Sales Representative (Part-Time or Full-Time) to help us grow our advertising sales across three exciting platforms: our well-loved newspaper, digital channel, and magazine.

About the Role You’ll play a key role in driving revenue, with a primary focus on our bi-weekly newspaper. Over time, you'll also be supporting sales for our online platform and magazine.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell print, digital, and magazine advertising to local and regional businesses.

• Build and nurture long-term client relationships.

• Manage advertising bookings, client briefs, and campaign follow-ups.

• Take over newspaper distribution duties (own vehicle required)

About You

• Proven experience in newspaper and/or magazine sales.

• Confident communicator with a genuine passion for helping businesses thrive.

• Able to work independently while being a great team player.

• Organised, reliable, and driven to meet sales targets.

• Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to a car.
