SERVICE STATION CONSOLE OPERATOR
Marano's Fuel are hiring console staff for our Service Station in Port Douglas. Reporting to the Retail Manager, you will be an integral part of the team.
This is a casual position, 22-hours per week, split across two days - Thursday and Friday. The successful candidate must be capable of working 11-hour shifts from 6am-5pm and must be confident working independently.
On the job training will be provided.
Duties will include: Operation of console including handling of cash, eftpos and other tenders Stock control; unpacking deliveries General cleaning and presentation of the site General customer service Completion of fuel tank dips Completion of day book s
The suitable candidates will be passionate about providing an exceptional standard of customer service.
Ideal candidate attributes: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills Positive, can-do attitude Experience in a similar role Ability to work independantly

MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR
Located in the heart of the Daintree rainforest, an easy 2-hour drive north of Cairns along one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, the Daintree Discovery Centre is the #1 attraction in the Daintree Rainforest.
The Daintree Discovery Centre is an award-winning world class interpretive facility that allows visitors easy access to every level of the Daintree Rainforest; from the forest floor to the upper most reaches of the canopy. Established in 1989 the Centre is widely recognised as a leader in the field of ecotourism, and in particular, environmental conservation. It provides an excellent introduction to the wonders of the Daintree Rainforest.
About the Position
Reporting to the Centre Manager and working collaboratively with the customer service team, the Maintenance Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining Daintree Discovery Centre (DDC) grounds, infrastructure, facilities and assets to a standard befitting a world class eco-tourism destination.
About You
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Ability to effectively diagnose, repair and maintain various plant, equipment and machinery. Sound knowledge of building and construction principles with the ability to confidently engage tradesmen to achieve business objectives. Proven craftsmanship relating to repairing and maintaining timber buildings, structures and walkways. A creative flair for developing and maintaining visual and interactive displays that generate first class customer experiences. Sound knowledge of environmental management practices, horticulture, flora and fauna. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and develop good working relationships across a broad demographic. Sound report writing and administration skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office, online portals and data bases. Relevant trade level qualifications applicable to the position or significant relevant work experience. Experience providing quality customer service principles in a fast paced environment. Open manual “C” class drivers license. Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety, current First Aid and CPR a chainsaw ticket. and a current Food Safety Certificate would be highly regarded.
