Port Douglas Road cycle path works set to start this month and take three years
Work on a new $2.6m 3m-wide Port Douglas Road cycling-and-walking path from the Sheraton roundabout to about 300m past the Barrier Street roundabout is expected to start this month and take three years to finish.
Cook Highway roadworks to stop for Easter, but some restrictions remain in place

A well-known, highly respected Port Douglas owner-operator (25+ years) is seeking an experienced Lead Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping across multiple five-star luxury properties.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone with strong local experience, who understands Port Douglas seasonality, tropical environmental challenges, and the additional standards required for hygiene, proactive deep cleaning, and long-term property preservation.
