Newsport is on the lookout for a talented Sales Representative (Part-Time or Full-Time) to help us grow our advertising sales across three exciting platforms: our well-loved newspaper, digital channel, and magazine.

About the Role You’ll play a key role in driving revenue, with a primary focus on our bi-weekly newspaper. Over time, you'll also be supporting sales for our online platform and magazine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell print, digital, and magazine advertising to local and regional businesses.

  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships.

  • Manage advertising bookings, client briefs, and campaign follow-ups.

  • Take over newspaper distribution duties (own vehicle required)

About You

  • Proven experience in newspaper and/or magazine sales.

  • Able to work independently while being a great team player.

  • Organised, reliable, and driven to meet sales targets.

  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to a car.

Settle in for a magical evening with PIRATES & MERMAIDS as Sea Circus Productions presents TREASURED TALES – a spectacular celebration of life on the water.

Watch in awe as local fire dancers, LED twirlers, stilt walkers, contortionists and aerial acrobats bring to life stories of adventure, connection and coastal fun, with guest performers PyroGlow Productions, Loni Fitzpatrick Harpist and Keep on Dancing. SHOWTIME 6:45pm

4:30- 6:30pm - Hoist the Sails Community Event Arrive early and get cozy out on the SLSC grassed area with your camp chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy the family-friendly circus atmosphere with:

Learn the basics of compass navigation before "sailing" off to collect clues from Port Douglas club stalls. With help from WindSwell and Segway Tours, you will uncover the real ‘spot-x’ and claim your treasure!
