LOCAL TOUR EXPERT (Casual)

Are you passionate about the Daintree Rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef, and everything Tropical North Queensland has to offer? Do you love helping travellers plan unforgettable experiences? We want to hear from you!

The Daintree Shop in Port Douglas is on the lookout for a casual Local Tour Expert to join our small, friendly team.

What you’ll be doing: • Helping visitors choose the best tours and experiences in the Daintree, the Great Barrier Reef, and all around Port Douglas • Offering warm, friendly and knowledgeable customer service • Selling souvenirs and local products • Sharing insider tips and local recommendations to make each visitor’s stay extra special

Who we’re looking for: • A people person with great customer service skills • Ideally a local, or someone with strong knowledge of the region (or a quick learner!) • Friendly, reliable, and happy to work flexibly as part of a small team • Experience in tourism or retail is a bonus, but not essential

This is a casual role – perfect for someone who loves the region and wants to help others experience the best of it. Due to the extensive training involved with this role, we are looking for someone long-term.
